The Elata E400 is a hybrid mattress system designed for adaptable pressure care across changing clinical needs. Used as a standalone mattress, it combines paired air cells with profiled foam inserts and a rebound foam base to provide static pressure management for the prevention and treatment of Stage 1–2 pressure injuries. With the addition of the EP10AU pump, it transitions into a full alternating-pressure system for treatment up to Stage 4.

The E400 suits clients whose pressure care needs may escalate over time, or where a cost-effective entry point into alternating therapy is required. The transition between static and dynamic modes requires no new mattress, reducing disruption and cost as care needs evolve.

The Pure Guard cover provides four-way stretch, vapour-permeable, antimicrobial surface protection that reduces shear and supports skin integrity. Welded seams and the Hydro Lock Barrier liquid-resistant zip flap prevent fluid ingress and protect the mattress core. Heel relief slope and heel offload zone protect vulnerable heel tissue. Reinforced side walls and a Stability Core base with anti-slip underside ensure secure placement and safe transfers.

Compatible with the whole adjustable bed range. Available in Single and King Single.

EP10AU Pump

The EP10AU pump converts the Elata E400 into a dynamic alternating-pressure system. Two therapy modes provide flexibility across care settings. Adaptive mode delivers targeted pressure therapy to relieve vulnerable areas and aid recovery. Max Inflation mode creates a firm, stable surface for repositioning, sitting up, and carer access.

SafeHold technology stabilises cell pressures during power interruption and powers down safely without carer intervention. Built-in audible and visual alarms alert carers to low pressure or disconnections. Quick-start inflation restores therapy fast after setup or Max Inflation use. Lightweight, foot-of-bed mounted, and low-noise for a calmer care environment.
