The TurnAid T4 is an electric turning and repositioning system that combines a bed rail with an integrated turning mechanism, reducing manual handling effort for carers and friction risk for clients during repositioning.
The TurnAid T4 is an electric turning and repositioning system designed for clients with severe physical disability who require frequent assisted repositioning in bed. It combines a full-length bed rail with an integrated electric turning mechanism, allowing carers to reposition clients safely and efficiently with minimal manual handling effort.
The system mounts directly onto most care beds using universal brackets with length and width adjustment, making it compatible with a wide range of bed frames including the Somnos range. Repositioning is controlled via hand control or foot control, giving both client and carer flexible operation from either end of the bed.
The pull sheet system allows transfers and repositioning to be completed within the sheet, reducing friction between the client and the surface and lowering the risk of skin breakdown during movement. This makes the TurnAid T4 well suited to clients at risk of pressure injuries where frequent repositioning is a clinical requirement.
The T4 includes speed control for more precise, comfortable turning at a pace suited to each client. Safe working load is 350kg, making it suitable for bariatric clients. The system is designed for use in hospitals, aged care facilities, and home care environments.
